it has been steadily recovering and is now
on track for its first monthly gain since February
The JOLTS Job openings report showed vacancies
declined by 275000 to 7.473 million in June,
signaling a gradual cooling in labor demand.
US Housing Price Index falls 0.2% in May,
matching expectations. Monthly decline points to
lingering stiffness in the housing sector
ECB Expectations Survey for June showed that
households expect inflation at 2.6%,
down from 2.8% for 1 year, at 2.8% unchanged for
3 years, and 2.1% as the May print for a 5 yr. period.
The Bank of Canada is expected to keep
the policy rate at 2.75% a third consecutive pause.
