The US ISM Services PMI came in higher
at 51.6 than 50.8, Indicating strong growth
US New Order Index in the services sector has also
expanded at a faster pace to 52.3 from the prior
release of 50.4 The Employment Index has declined
at a moderate pace to 49.0 from 46.2 in March.
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said the
United States may finalize some trade deals
as early as this week, sparking optimism.'
Bessent expressed confidence that
17 trading partners, excluding China, have presented
"Very Good" proposals that are under review.
Traders are increasingly confident the US Fed Reserve
will hold rates steady at the 4.25% to 4.50% range
in the upcoming meeting while the bank of England
is almost certain to cut borrowing coast by 25 bps
