US Markets - Banks and Canadian banks

   will be closed in observance of Labor Day

China's Manufacturing Purchasing Manager's

   Index (PMI) rose to 49.4 in August from 49.3 in July.

China's NBS Non-Manufacturing PMI

   climbed to 50.3 in August, Versus 50.1 prior and

   in line with the market consensus.

July US Personal Consumption Expenditures

   Index showed that overall prices rose by 2.6%

   over the past year, meeting economists' forecasts

   and matching the prior month's results.

US Consumer Spending increased 0.5%

   on the month, in line with forecasts and

   indicative of strength despite the higher prices.

San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly said that

   policymakers will be ready to cut the interest rates soon,

   adding that inflation stemming from tariffs will

   likely prove temporary, per Bloomberg
