France’s political crisis rattles investor sentiment.
The US Gov. shutdown disrupts key data releases,
keeping traders on edge.
The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has opted for
boldness over caution as it delivered a 50bps cut the
official cash rate to 2.5a%, and signalled further reductions.
Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari was
moderately hawkish as he said it is too early to
determine whether tariffs will make inflation sticky.
He added that recent data show signs of stagflation,
though he remains optimistic about the labor market.
Fed Governor Stephen Miran said that
economic growth has been slower in the 1st half of 25
due to uncertainty. He added that a neutral rate has
come down, likely 0.5%, policy should be forward-looking.
San Francisco Fed Mary Daly said : potential AI bubble
in stock market would threaten broader financial stability.
meantime, Atlanta Fed Raphael Bostic revealed that
turbulence is leading firms - households cautious.
